White Lion Training held another Learner Awards ceremony at its Learning 4 Life training centre in Corby at the end of July 2006. This provided the opportunity to present certificates and to celebrate the achievements of successful learners.
The awards were again presented by Phil Hope, MP for Corby and Minister for Adult Education and Lifelong Learning. Mr Hope said: “I was delighted to meet these adult learners and present them with their certificates. The effort and hard work they have shown in completing their courses is admirable. The centre provides a fantastic service to adult learners wanting to improve their skills.”
White Lion Training’s Managing Director, Sandy Clark, said “Learning 4 Life has had an excellent year with more successes in basic skills and IT qualifications than ever before. The number of passes in Numeracy and Literacy qualifications has increased tenfold over the previous year, while European Computer Driving Licence successes have increased significantly from an already high base. The qualifications achieved at Learning 4 Life have enabled the learners to pursue new careers or gain the level of qualification required for further training at College or in the Armed Forces. These qualifications have made a real difference to people’s lives.”
